Glow Jar for Girls Camp or YW, Primary, Scouts

Glow Jar (for LDS Young Women or Primary, even Scouts)

This would work well as lighting for girls camp, Young Women Evening of Excellence, New Beginnings, and lots of lessons that need a visual aid to bring interest to your topic.

Ideas and directions below…

Ideas
1.  The glow stick could represent the Savior and the glitter could represent us and how we can help reflect the Savior’s light.

 2.  You could use this to unify your young women by showing how the glow stick and glitter are great on their own, but together they make something even greater.

Directions
  1. Cut a glow stick and pour the contents into a jar.
  2. Add glitter.
  3. Put the lid on securely.
  4. Shake it!

Now it should glow like in the picture.  It really is that easy.  My daughter did a few without glitter for fun, and they were beautiful too, so you don’t have to use glitter.

Let me know how it goes.  I would love to see this done with lightweight peanut butter jars that you could string as “glow lights” for Evening of Excellence, New Beginnings or any young women event.
