Our Stake leaders gave out washer necklaces one year to each girl who passed off a camp challenge. You could use this necklace as an incentive in that way, or you could use it as a Girls Camp craft or regular activity for YW or Primary.Anyway, the girls at camp loved these necklaces and so did I! I like how the one below uses cute ribbon. I also like the ones our Stake did with jute-type of cording for the necklace part. Either way, it’s fun and inexpensive. Directions below…
Materials
- Necklace cording (ribbon, leather, jute, etc.)
- Washer
- Paper
- Glue (Mod Podge or your own concoction)
Directions
- Cut paper to fit washer.
- Affix paper to washer with glue mixture or Mod Podge.
- Paint glue/Mod Podge over paper and washer to protect paper from moisture.
- Tie ribbon onto washer.
Can you believe it’s that easy? I love it! It is a great incentive and is also fast and thrifty. What a perfect combination!
